Easier said than done but worth trying. In these corona times, I am focusing on the concept of feeding.

Literally, cooking good food but also feeding my connections and my dreams in the time I have left as I don’t need to commute for work and cannot leave the house for social purposes (as everyone else!

I am taking it easy and not putting so much pressure on me. A few small things that I managed to do:

Janaína cooked an amazing meal for one of our events, called  Flower Power.

✅ After a long time, I made a banana cake, which tasted delicious. Baking is not my forte but I got it right!
✅ I bought houseplant food online and they are loving it.
✅ I have been feeding my friendships, the ones who live close by and the beloved ones around the world.
✅ I have been feeding my role as a daughter checking on my parents more frequently.
✅ I am also putting some baking pow(d)er on my personal projects and dreams (I promise I won’t make any lives here, we’ve got enough of them!)

Banana bread

Ingredients

3 medium bananas (about 225g/8oz peeled)

3 large eggs

100g sugar

150ml oil

275g plain flour

1 tablespoon grounded spices (nutmeg, cinnamon or whatever you prefer)

1 tablespoon baking powder

Method

Pre-heat the oven to 180C. Butter the tray.

Peel bananas and make a purée with a fork. In a bowl, add eggs, sugar and oil and mix it well.

Add flour, spices and baking powder and mix it well.

Pour the mix into the tray.

Bake for about 40 minutes.
